Recently, the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) announced the election results for the 2026–2030 Council. Ms. Liang Xunmei, Chairwoman of Shandong Road New Materials Co., Ltd., has been successfully elected as a Council Member of the IGS. This achievement further demonstrates that China’s geosynthetics industry has gained greater global recognition in terms of international influence and discourse power.

This achievement further demonstrates that China’s geosynthetics industry has gained greater global recognition in terms of international influence and discourse power.
With over 30 years of deep experience in the geosynthetics sector, Ms. Liang Xunmei has long been committed to the R&D and standardization of new geosynthetic materials. She has chaired or participated in compiling more than 60 national and industrial standards, filed over 180 patents, presided over more than 30 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and made breakthroughs in more than 20 key technologies that used to bottleneck industrial development. Her technological achievements have been successfully applied in a series of major national projects, including the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, CZ Railway, Beijing-Taipei Expressway Reconstruction and Expansion, and the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
This election to the IGS Council is a full recognition of her professional expertise, industrial contributions and global vision by peers at home and abroad.
